    MILITARY ADDRESSES

    • Overseas military addresses must conform to domestic addressing standards. To prevent mail from entering foreign mail networks, do not include city or country names in these addresses.

    • The delivery line (second line from bottom in the address) must show one of the following: UNIT, CMR (Community Mail Room), PSC (Postal Service Center), OPC (Official Postal Center), UPR (Unit Postal Room) and number; and unit or box number assigned.

    • The last line must contain the APO (Army Post Office) or FPO (Fleet Post Office) designation, state abbreviation, AA, AE or AP followed by the ZIP+4®* or five-digit ZIP Code™* number (when applicable, United States or USA would be the country name utilized).

    • AA refers to Armed Forces of the Americas and replaces the previous designation of Miami (340).
    • AE refers to the Armed Forces of Europe and replaces the previous designation of New York (090-098).
    • AP refers to Armed Forces of the Pacific and replaces the previous designation of San Francisco (962-966).
