No matter the location, U.S. military bases are considered part of U.S. soil and can receive Amway™ shipments. Follow these guidelines for order placement:
- Sales of Amway products may be made to customers residing on an international U.S. military base where the IBO is stationed or working. To avoid unauthorized sales or exporting concerns, IBOs should not sell Amway products to non-base residents, including but not limited to civilian contractors.
If you’re unsure whether a customer is authorized to purchase, contact a Garrison Commander or Senior Commander for additional information.
Samples may be distributed as normal, noting the following Rules of Conduct:- 4.5 – Retail Establishments
- 4.6 – Statements About Products, Services and the Opportunity
- 4.7 – Repackaging
Each country has unique laws for products sold within its borders. Therefore, Amway products from the U.S. might contain different ingredients or packaging materials to meet these regulations. Selling U.S. Amway products off-base could conflict with exporting or sales laws, which could negatively impact your Amway business.
If you have questions about U.S. military base boundaries and compliance, contact a Garrison Commander or Senior Commander.
- Items that can’t be ordered for delivery to a military base include aerosols, alcohol-based items and anything over 108 in. and/or 70 lbs.
- Addresses of U.S. military bases are commonly called APO/FPO. These are specific, non-international addresses and must be structured correctly.
- First Line: Recipient’s full name.
- Second line: Type of address where mail is going and number of that address; include PO box (if they have one).
- Third line: Post office type (APO, FPO or DPO), key state abbreviation, zip code.
How long will it take for a package to arrive on a military base?
Orders are delivered in approximately 15 days if shipped Priority Mail (Air) and up to 24 days if shipped Parcel Post (Ground).
How can I verify how a package is handled after it leaves the domestic postal system?
Check with your local mailing office. The nearest military land base may hold packages for any military personnel stationed on a ship.
Where can I learn about shipping costs?
Visit the Shipping & Delivery section of the Help Center.
Who do I direct other questions to?
IBOs should connect with their base leader. If further support is needed, please contact the Amway Business Conduct and Rules department at bcr@amway.com.
