Operating your Amway business from a United States military base

All Amway™ Independent Business Owners registered in the U.S. can operate their Amway business from any part of the country. A U.S. military base located outside the U.S. is still considered U.S. soil where a business may operate. You must also have permission from the base commander and legal approval.

Product sales can only be made on the U.S. military base. All countries have their own laws and regulations around what products can and can’t be sold there. Any location beyond the base is considered international territory, following international procedures and sales there are prohibited by Amway.

To be legally eligible to do business in the U.S., you must have the appropriate:

  • Legal documentation to reside in the U.S.
  • Social Security identification
  • Valid tax IDs
  • Visa documentation or work permits

Follow these steps to register as an IBO.

If you or your upline sponsor become aware that you may not legally conduct an Amway business in the U.S., please discontinue the business registration process.

To avoid claims of pressure or inappropriate solicitation, it’s recommended that an IBO operating on a U.S. military base only sell to or sponsor military individuals of equal or superior rank.
